We encourage everyone to eat a balanced diet including protein, good fats, carbohydrates, and plenty of vegetables and fruit to be sure of keeping your body in the best condition.

You will avoid feeling hungry by getting the right balance of macronutrients for optimal health and before long you’ll have learned how to include your favourite things in your regular routine without over-indulging.

Keeping Hydrated.

 The body very often mistakes thirst for hunger. In our busy lives we often forget to drink enough. It’s really important to keep well hydrated for many reasons.

Cutting down on (not necessarily cutting out) caffeinated and carbonated drinks can help you keep hydrated more easily. We recommend you try to drink at least two litres of water daily to help keep you feeling energised, to help improve the look of your skin, to help keep your internal organs healthy, and your whole body functioning happily. Try herbal and fruit teas for variety.

It’s ironic that when over one third of the UK population are now classed as overweight or obese, we are seeing an alarming rise in the number of people deficient in vital vitamins and minerals.

So the evidence would suggest that we’re eating more food, but getting less benefit from it. At Lindsey Fitness we encourage the introduction of more fresh foods, lean meat, good sources of protein, good fats, vegetables and fruit, while reducing processed foods.

Eating More Vegetables.

Vegetables are a great source of all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need to help us stay in tip-top condition.

We should be eating at least 8 or more portions of vegetables each day, and we should be trying to eat as wide a range as possible to support good gut health which is also as the most recent research shows is key to effective weight loss.

We will teach you how to include more activity into your busy life.

Many of us lead busy lives, and sometimes it’s as though we never sit still. But we do. Too many of us spend far too much time inactive or doing less than we could.
